IT'S A WRAP AT THE 23RD ATLANTIC FILM FESTIVAL
September 21, 2003 - The 23rd Atlantic Film Festival came to a close in Halifax last night. An important part of the closing festivities was the Kodak Awards Brunch. Our congratulations go to Jay Ferguson who is the winner of the 2003 William F. White Cinematography Award for his feature, “The Animals”. WFW Halifax General Manager Maynard Harris was proud to present Jay with his Award. Check out (PDF) a full list of the winners.
WFW AND OSRAM SYLVANIA SAVE THE DAY
August 20, 2003 - During the filming of “Chicago” in Toronto last year, a “state of emergency” was declared when a shipment of 10,000 bulbs needed for the finale of the Oscar® winning smash movie fell through. Production contacted WFW’s very own Penny Watier (now National V-P of Sales at CinequipWhite Inc.) to request her assistance. Working with Eric Teacher, Account Manager for Special Lighting Markets at Osram Sylvania, Penny was able to secure the bulbs needed and have them on set within 24 hours!
The July/August issue of Osram Sylvania’s “Prism” magazine includes an article about Penny and Eric’s “Chicago” adventure. You can read the full story here.
