Steadicam Workshop Wrap up

Team Cinequip | September 3, 2009

August’s Steadicam course has come to a close. We were filled to capacity, had a great time, and each participant learned enough to get them going in the world camera stabilization. Our amazing instructor, Peter Abraham, covered topics like balancing, posture and footwork to name a few, and It really helps you realize how important so many factors are while flying a rig. It takes large amounts of focus and concentration, and many years of practice before you will truly become versed in this fluid and stable artform. But don’t let that dissuade you from becoming the next Garrett Brown! Its the best and ONLY way you will master the movements associated with the mighty Steadicam.

If you were at the course or are just interested in learning more about how to properly set up and fly your rig we have an extra special offer for you! We have “The Steadicam Operators Manual” (ISBN#0240811658), a full size operating manual to the many different sizes and uses of the Steadicam. We currently have a few of the books in stock, so if you are interested at all, drop by, or call in and we can get one put aside for you.So, in closing, thanks to all of the participants who made this such a great course, Peter for flying up to instruct, and everyone else who had a hand in it along the way.
